Beatrice Gallori is born in Montevarchi in 1978. She graduates from the classical school Cicognini in Prato in 1996. In 2001 her passion for fashion and design becomes concrete as she attends the Polimoda institute in Prato, specializing in Fashion Design and Knitwear. As se studies fashion she develops the desire to experiment with painting: her first creations are distinguished by her natural ability to use matter, conferring width and life to her canvases, through instinct and emotional streams, using recycled materials (ropes, cardboard boxes, strings). Since 2008, she exhibits in public and private spaces. In 2009 she participates to “Arte in Vetrina-Prato, giovani talenti emergenti”, an exhibition for young talents, curated by Giovanni Faccenda. In 2010 she creates some hand-made knitwear sketches with paint for the brand Bettaknit which produced a proper collection. Following these experiences she develops the desire to conceptualize her work, therefore beginning to study movement and recreate it on canvas: she tries to block the movement which is made unique by nature (wether by the wind, the ocean’s waves or a heartbeat). Her first sculptures facing three dimensions are born, proper drips and trickles trapped in a timeless dimension, crystalized in a moment, after their fall but before their landing. In 2011 her sculpture “To Red - ing Future” becomes part of the catalogue “Premio Combact”. In the same year, one of her “drips”, “Milk Walking”, is selected by the art critique, Arturo Schwartz, for the Sotheby’s Contemporary Art auction in Milan, in favor of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Her ceramics collection “linguaggi” in Milan attract great success. In 2011 she participates to Art Verona and then takes part to the project “Artisti a KM 0” in the Luigi Pecci Contemporary Art Museum in Prato, displaying her work and a video titled “I suoi respiri”. In 2012 she presented an installation created appositely for the “Knitwear international day” supported by the Province of Prato, with the collaboration with the Prato Textile Museum. Her work in collaboration with galleries and exhibitions, in Italy and abroad has intensified. One of her works was selected for BAU10, a contemporary art container, and entered the “Zavattini collection” (permanently Firenze National Library) In 2013 she starts collaborating with the Armand Gori Art gallery (PO) which brings her work to various exhibitions and allows it to be seen by a vast audience. Her work is evolving and growing. Her canvases present mastery in working with materials, making her work, at the moment, completely monochrome, essential and pure. The Prato collection “Urbana Vestigia” is the occasion for her to experiment with other forms of expression and her video, “Human crisis”, was chosen by Department of Culture and by the Department for Equal Opportunities as a symbol for the “International day for the elimination of Violence against Women” and one of her sculptures was installed in the Prato town square. At the end of 2013, her solo show“Time Lapse is presented by the critique Valerio Dehò at the Armanda Gori Art gallery. Her work is now centered on the cell and its changes. In her work the images of moving cells give her the possibility to deeply investigate human differences and life itself. In 2014 she participated in three collective exhibitions at the “Armanda Gori Art” gallery in Pietrasanta: “Rosso Contemporaneo”, “Plastica Italiana”, “Differenze”. In 2015 she is present in the Contemporary and Modern art Town Gallery in Arezzo with the shows “Evolve-ING” e “Plastica Italiana”;“Photissima” in Venice; “Microscope” at the “Armanda Gori Art Gallery” in Pietrasanta; “BIOsphere” at the Mural Painting Museum in Prato. She ends the year with a personal exhibition in the Riccardo Costantini Contemporary art Gallery in Turin titled “#differences”. She inaugurates an exhibition in the Sassuolo Hospital titled “Origins” showing her work in the corridors with “Volontariarte”. She establishes collaborations with the galleries Galleria Lara & Rino Costa Arte Contemporanea, Valenza; Galleria Arte Polimnia, Brescia/Forte Dei Marmi; Galleria Riccardo Costantini Contemporary, Torino which show her work at the ArteFiera in Bologna in 2016 and other art shows, introducing her to both the national and international market. Still in 2016, a piece titled “BOOM” becomes part of the Bocconi University of Milan collection. In June she inaugurates her solo exhibition titled “The Cell” in the Vecchiato Arte Gallery in Padua, curated by the art critique Luca Beatrice. Currently she works with Lara & Rino Costa Arte Contemporanea, Arte Polimnia, Riccardo Costantini Contemporary and Spirale Milano and expositive projects which will be presented in galleries and museums during 2016. Her works are present in various private and public collections, both italian and international.
