Vecchiato Art Galleries Presents E-GENETIC, a Sculpture by renowned International Artist Rabarama

http://www.vecchiatoarte.com/en/579-e-genetic.html

- Fresh from her successful collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, Rabarama’s latest sculpture comments on the collision of humanity with technology

- The limited edition sculpture will be sold directly through the Internet by the artist herself

International artist Rabarama has sculpted a limited edition of her new small, bronze sculpture E-GENETIC using a premium and historic Italian foundry. The sculpture, of which only 1000 will be casted, is inspired by the influence that the Internet has on our life, bringing about a new kind of human being. Rabarama had been inspired since the very first stages of her career by themes of mutation, destiny, body, and technology.

This will be the first time a renowned international artist has created an artwork that will be displayed and sold to collectors only via the Internet.

Rabarama Summer: The Artist Go Back Again To Tuscany With Her Monumental Marble Sculptures

From Pisa, to Forte dei marmi, to Lucca. On June, 14 (at 6 P.M.) at the international airport of Pisa the new marble sculptures by Rabarama (http://www.rabarama.com) will be presented to a selected public.
This will be the starting point of a great series of expos around the most beautiful cities of Tuscany.

The "Volarearte" (Fly Art) initiative was the first official event organized by the Henraux Foundation which was formed in 2011, and includes Henraux S.p.A. in Querceta, a leader in the lapidary industry founded in 1821, the Province of Lucca, the Boroughs of Seravezza , Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi. A high culture initiative presenting to an international audience, arriving and departing daily from Pisa airport, a series of sculptures displayed every two years in accordance with a site-specific project and especially made in the art workshop of the Henraux company in Querceta. In collaboration with the Tuscan Airport company (SAT), and in line with the statutory mission aimed at enhancing and developing the long tradition of art and craft of Apuan-Versilia marble.

In 2013 the second edition of the "Volarearte" event will come to life, to see the artist Rabarama as protagonist with a new project deployed in three different but closely and culturally linked locations: the city of Pisa, the city of Forte dei Marmi and the city of Lucca.

After the great success of "ANTICOnforme", the exhibition which saw her as the undisputed protagonist, in Florence in summer 2011, Rabarama returns to Tuscany, a region to which the artist is indelibly linked. Her return is marked through new works seeking to reopen the direct and immediate dialogue, that she always has with the art user, for which her art offers the possibility to compare, through body language and through the skin, burning and decidedly current issues such as: genetic mutations, the human ambiguity and identity of contemporary man, driven by a primal and visionary force, remote and timeless. Formal metamorphosis and the aspiration of absolute freedom are Rabarama’s guidelines, she is considered by critics and most discerning collectors as a complete artist thanks to continuous official recognition in both the Italian and international market. Her production is rather eclectic and multi-faceted, diversifying in the use of materials. On the occasion of this collaboration with the Henraux Foundation, three previously unreleased monumental works will be exhibited in Altissimo white marble, which represent the latest metamorphosis of research now at the edge of metaphysics. In particular "Alis Grave Nil" stands out (Nothing is heavy to those who have wings), an objet d’art made of white marble inspired by flight and expressly designed in honour of the collaboration with "Volarearte."

On the 14th June, near Pisa airport, five sculptures will be exhibited at the opening ceremony, of which two in bronze and three in marble have been specially designed by the artist for the exhibition site of the airport entrance gardens and produced by Henraux S.p.A. in cooperation with Studio di Scultura “Massimo Galleni” di Pietrasanta. The marble works represent the productive qualities of the Mount Altissimo quarries, the mountain of Michelangelo, already cultivated by the Medici and known throughout the world for their arabesque marble and precious statues.

At the same time the famous coastline of the city of Forte dei Marmi will become a sort of open space exhibition (open air) set up in the gardens of the Hotel Augustus Lido and the Hotel Principe Forte dei Marmi and seven of the most prestigious seaside resorts: Bagno Piero, Bagno Augustus, Bagno Annetta, Bagno Orsa Maggiore, Bagno La Fenice, Bagno Pennone and Bagno Gilda. The opening ceremony will be on the 21st June.

Following the summer season in Forte dei Marmi, the exhibition will move in autumn from the coast to the city of Lucca on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Papal Decree, embracing the walls and squares of the old town. Five hundred years ago Versilia tied its destiny to Florence. It was Pope Leo X, son of Lorenzo the Magnificent, who made this land a possession pertaining to the Medici family, to sow the seed of development growing from Michelangelo Buonarroti to the magnificent marble of Versilia, arriving at the tourist and cultural excellence of today. Five hundred years later Versilia celebrates its history and the Henraux Foundation develops a contemporary art project to unite the history, marble and technological innovation under all the activities brought together in 2013.

May, 17 -2013. Released worldwide the video of the first “shibari” performance in an art gallery:  Hikari Kesho, famous master of Japanese traditional bondage and renowned photographer, did a “shibari”performance at Vecchiato Art Galleries, Padua, Italy.

The exclusive video of the performance is: https://vimeo.com/65883495

For the first time in the World a famous “nawashi” (Japanese bondage – “shibari”- master) did a shibari performance in an art gallery (http://www.vecchiatoarte.com/en/artist/1442_hikari-kesho)

The event took place at Vecchiato Art galleries in Padua, Italy, on April, 17 and was attended by a selected public of Italian and international art collectors.

The exclusive video of the performance is to be published in the Internet,  May, 17 -2013 on: https://vimeo.com/65883495

During the event the famous “nawashi” Hikari Kesho staged a live performance in which a woman was tied with Japanese ropes and then suspended and made “fly” above the public, with a soundtrack of contemporary Japanese music. The effect was “breathtaking”, as one of the collectors, Mr A.F. from Milan,  commented: “It was a surprise, since we did not know exactly what kind of performance was it. Yes, there was nudity and eroticism but the atmosphere was so elegant and emotional that the final effect was breathtaking”.

The performance was the introduction to the official presentation of the artistic work of Hikari Kesho who  is unique in the world, since he is a “shibari” master who creates the bondage settings (in studio and outdoors, also in public places) and an expert photographer.
His art is a combination of performance and photography,  reaching results of great aesthetic and artistic value.

Hikari Kesho artworks have been published in many books and magazines (Goliath books, Playboy) and in 2012 he was selected (the only Italian photographer) for the exhibition “The Art of Contemporary Shibari” inside the FotoFest®, the first international Biennial of Photography and Photo-related Art in the USA. Hikari Kesho's photo "Observing the Stillness of Brenta River" was chosen to be the official poster of the Biennial.
In March, 2013 Hikari Kesho signs with the contemporary art gallery Vecchiato, which will promote him worldwide, recognizing  the quality and unique characteristics of his art.

Hikari Kesho has been recently invited to exhibit at Biennale Vught in The Netherlands (May,24 – June, 16), http://www.biennalebrabant.nl/website/, inside a selection of only five international artists.

One Drop And Cirque du Soleil Call Italian Artist Rabarama To Las Vegas

See now Rabarama official page! click here

The famous contemporary artist Rabarama invited to the One Night for One Drop event in Las Vegas, donates the sculpture “Chi-Chi“ for the auction to benefit One Drop.

The Italian artist Rabarama (http://www.rabarama.com), so well known for her giant humanoids sculptures decorated in esoteric patterns that had been exhibited in public places from Paris to Shanghai, has been invited to participate in  One Night for One Drop, a global philanthropy event in Las Vegas, a one night-only original production specially created by Cirque du Soleil benefitting One Drop.

In fact her art is near to the spectacular, colored aesthetics that made Cirque du Soleil shows so appreciated in the world and the poses of her creatures are dramatically dynamical and suggestive, resembling a strange kind of ritual dance.

Her sculpture “Chi-Chi”, inspired to the I-Ching, will be auctioned during the event and presented to the public in an original, unique show imagined by Cirque du Soleil, on World Water Day March, 22 in the “O” Theatre at Bellagio, Las Vegas, USA.

Rabarama career started in the ‘90s in collaboration with the representing gallery Vecchiato with the first exhibitions in Mexico and Usa. Then her giants were appreciated by public and critic in cities around the world (Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, Miami, Florence, etc) and at the 54th Biennial in Venice.

One Drop is a philanthropy organization founded by Cirque du Soleil’s owner Guy Laliberté and its main aim is to ensure that water is accessible to all in the world: "One person dies every 20 seconds because they don't have access to clean water," said Laliberté. "It is one of our planet's most pressing, yet most addressable problems, if we focus the amount of attention and resources it deserves."

The Italian Artist will re-affirm and confirm her worldwide success thanks to the collaboration with Cirque du Soleil and its founder Guy Laliberté.

From a year now Rabarama focused on the creation of a series of works for the American market and on others (including some monumental sculptures) commissioned by Guy Laliberté (great collector of contemporary art and of Rabarama artworks too) for Nukutepipi island in French Polynesia, his property, which will become an '"Island of Art".

In March 2013 there will be a momentous event in Las Vegas starring Rabarama: Cirque du Soleil is setting up a show inspired by her art and will present a sculpture of the Artist which will be auctioned for charity purposes (for the organization One Drop - onedrop.org).

These commitments, revealed in an exclusive television interview at Vecchiato Art Galleries (Rabarama's representing gallery) on December, 21 -- 2012, explain the rarity of new works by Rabarama in the world of art collecting in recent months.
