Fiorenzo Silvio Vincenzo

Silvio Fiorenzo was born in Comiso (Ragusa) in 1950. He graduated at the Fine Arts Academy of Brera in Milan, for the sculpture section, Francesco Messina, Pellini and Dino Basaldella’s student.He taught sculture courses at Secondry School 'Caravaggio' in Milan, and at other Institutes of Art in Giusano and Bollate.He has always been interested in media-art, he develops a long term collaboration in the advertisement field with “storyboard2”, especially in the comics field working with the most famous book- publisher in the field as Monelli, Storpio di Euro Editoriale, Lancio Story di Euro...

He graduated at the Fine Arts Academy of Brera in Milan, for the sculpture section, Francesco Messina, Pellini and Dino Basaldella’s student.He taught sculture courses at Secondry School 'Caravaggio' in Milan, and at other Institutes of Art in Giusano and Bollate.He has always been interested in media-art, he develops a long term collaboration in the advertisement field with “storyboard2”, especially in the comics field working with the most famous book- publisher in the field as Monelli, Storpio di Euro Editoriale, Lancio Story di Euro Editoriale, Internazionale Ediperiodici, Fumetti d’arte, Edizioni II.In 1990 he lived for a few months in New York, where he elaborates on the American comics’ narrative-grafic technique, and two years later he repeats the same experience in Argentina, where he had the chance to get in touch with the comics field’s environment in Buenos Aires, in which he continues the Hugo Pratt’s artistic early times.Fiorenzo started the painting expositive career, also concerning the sculpture one in 1981, with a solo-show in Sicily.In 1992 he leaves the teaching environment and he and his family move to the Iberic Peninsula.>From this moment on, started an artistic-expositive pilgrimage from Italy, Spain and Portugal, where he gives birth to many solo and collective expositions in different location like Lisbona, Porto, Setùbal, Sivilia and Barcelona, not leaving out his country and city, in which artistically has grown.
